ANGLIA ACCIDENTS

Sir,

Your article ” Things they say” in the July edition of MOTOR SPORT: The reference to the Police Ford Anglia accident prompts me to Seek enlightenment on this problem of fire with rolled Anglias.

Since 1965 I can recall at least three reports of the same thing happening to other cars of the same type, and it was not until Peter Procter’s unfortunate accident that something seemed to he done. I roughly recall articles stating that Broa.dspeed were modifying the fuel tanks of their Anglias? If there is something of interest in this perhaps someone is willing to share the knowledge with other owners.

Might I just add that though I was unable to fault a famous rear-engined car that gave me five years’ wonderful service, I still prefer the 105E.
