When it comes to British rallying, names don’t come much bigger than Paddy Hopkirk. The Northern Irishman shot to fame when he piloted the BMC Mini ’33 EJB’ to victory on the 1964 Monte-Carlo. The result sent shock waves through the sport and earned Hopkirk telegrams from prime minister Alec Douglas-Home and The Beatles, and even led to him being booked for a slot on TV show Sunday Night at the Palladium. It also sparked his collectibles market and, thanks to our friends at The Signature Store, you can grab a piece of the action with this hand-signed full-size Mini Sport steering wheel. It may not be direct from 33 EJB, but it’s the next best thing to commemorate a rallying legend.

It’s not often you find surviving original posters from the 1970s, and even rarer for them to be from an event as big as the Le Mans 24 Hours. This is from 1972, coinciding with the time the ACO opted to switch from photographic posters and instead commission artist Jean Jacquelin to create this colourful interpretation. It was also a glorious year for the French, with Matra winning outright.
