The Triumph T110 belonging to Motor Sport’s Denis Jenkinson will be on sale this month at the National Motorcycle Museum.
Witness to innumerable moments in motor racing history as the continental correspondent for Motor Sport for several decades, Jenks owned the 1958 Triumph bike during the 1970s and 1980s, during his time travelling around Europe covering Formula 1.
An avid racer in his own right, he won the 1949 Sidecar Championship as passenger to Eric Oliver, and Jenkinson went on to win the 1955 Mille Miglia as navigator to Stirling Moss, authoring the famed Motor Sport article, With Moss in the Mille Miglia.
“This bike once more demonstrates his love of anything mechanical,” head of motorbike sales for H&H, Mark Bryan said.
The current owner has kept the T110 in running order, with a prior restoration meaning it is in good overall condition.
The motorcycle will be on sale on April 7, and the Triumph is expected to fetch up to £7500.
