New series for Can-Am

Masters Historic Racing and the Canadian American Challenge Cup are combining two modest grids to promote a four-event series for Can-Am and Interserie sports-racing cars.

The Can-Am Interserie Challenge will be for sports-prototypes from 1971 to ’78 and Can-Am cars raced between ’66 and ’74.

“We hope we’ll make this joint venture a fantastic series for these great cars,” said organiser Peter Schleifer.

Races will be run at Barcelona (April 21/22), Brands Hatch (May 26/27), Spa (September 21-23) and Donington (October 13/14).
