Sports masters at Brands DTM

The Dijon round of the Gentleman Drivers and Sports Racing Masters series, scheduled for June, has been dropped.

Its sister category, Grand Prix Masters, recently pulled out of the Pau Historic GP meeting and the Dijon organisers have responded by withdrawing an invitation for the Masters Series to race at their Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or. 

To replace the axed Dijon event, the Sports Racing Masters will appear on the DTM support programme at Brands Hatch on June 9/10. Two half-hour races will run on the Indy circuit. Masters spokesman Christopher Tate said: “We are very honoured that Sports Racing Masters has been invited to provide support for the DTM.”

The replacement Gentleman Drivers race will take place at Brands Hatch on June 23.
