Brock reunion

Australian touring car hero Peter Brock hopes to drive the Vauxhall that he shared with Gerry Marshall in the 1977 Spa 24 Hours later this summer.

The ex-works Group One Firenza has been totally rebuilt for new owner Adrian Goding by Martin Thomas with support from former DTV engineer Gerry Johnstone, who built the car in 1977. It had lain unused for 15 years before Goding bought it at auction in 2005.

Goding had enlisted the assistance of Marshall in the early stages of the project, prior to Marshall’s death last April, and has now offered the car to Brock for a reunion run this summer.
