Now well established over the early May Bank Holiday, the Classic Festival meeting at Donington Park is the highlight of the Top Hat racing season.

All six of the regular Top Hat categories will be in action along with several significant guest races in an 11-race programme split over Sunday April 30 and Monday May 1. Mini-enduros are common, with most of the races running for at least 45 minutes.

Running over an hour and a quarter will be Sunday’s Cloth Cap and Sebring Salute races along with Monday’s Top Hat contest. Father-and-son pair Grahame and Oliver Bryant will team up to share a Plymouth Barracuda in the pre-66 touring car race and then switch to their Cobra for the 45-minute Shelby-Tojeiro AC Trophy encounter later on Monday.

Chris Beighton and Joey Eckford will be key Cloth Cap contenders in their Sunbeam Tiger, and Beighton should also star in the Sebring Salute race alongside Jon Finnemore in a Lola T70 Mk3B.

Guest slots go to the second round of the FIA Lurani Trophy FJunior series.
