20 Ferraris to star at classic show
A Ferrari 512BB LM and Chris Rea’s 156 `Sharknose’ replica will be among 20 rare Ferraris in a display commemorating the marque’s 50th anniversary at the Classic & Sports Car Show at the NEC, Birmingham, over the May 3-5 weekend.
Other Ferraris include a 250SWB, 250 Lusso, 365GTB/4, F40 and F50. Terry O’Neil of the Ferrari Owners Club said: ‘If it’s a 250 from the ’60s or a modem F40, every one has a favourite Ferrari.
Come and see them all.”
Bentleys will feature in a tribute to Bentley Boy Sir Henry “Tim” Birkin. It will feature Birkin’s first Blower, as well as other Bentleys of the era. Almost 100 one-make clubs including Porsche, MG and BMW will be at this, the most popular classic car show in the UK. Admission is £9.50,£8 for senior citizens and free for under 14s.
