Search for a Swallow
Sir,
I am writing to ask if you could find space to mention my search for the present whereabouts of a motor car once owned by myself. The car in question is a 1930 Standard Swallow Saloon, registration number VV 285. I reluctantly parted with this car in January 1967, prior to emigrating to New Zealand. The last I heard of the car was when it appeared in a dealer’s advertisement (Portobello Motor Co. Ltd.) on page 765 of the August edition of Motor Sport. Having now returned to live in this country I would dearly like to contact the present owner of VV 285. May I add that Motor Sport is even more compulsive reading 14,000 miles front home. Thank you toss super publication and at such a reasonable cost.
