Very soon after introducing their 1912 Simplex “Model or Yesteryear” Lesney brought out another of these delectable models. This time it is a yellow-hued 1913 Cadillac two-seater, with hood, detailed as all these historic Lesney miniatures are, with screen frame, coach lamps, headlamps, radiator, wheel spokes, etc. finished in gold. The effect is rather lurid, but for an accurate 48:1-scale replica of a famous American Edwardian, this is good value at the home retail price of 5s. 6d. This Cadillac is No. Y-6 in the “Matchbox” Lesney range and measures 3 3/8 in. in length.

Lesney also have a little 2 3/8 in. 86:1 G.M.C. tipper truck, with a body which really tips and a tail-board that swings open. This is No. 26 in the “Matchbox” series, and with detailed engine and transmission revealed as the cab is tipped forward, sells for 2s. 3d. in this country.
