As a girl with a passion for TRs, I think I can give friend Pierre some pointers on how to go around “making out” with a sports car. First I suggest he buys a good 5 ft. x 7 ft. groundsheet. This eliminates the gearbox tunnel, hand-brake, steering wheel, and what have you.

If he is, as I imagine, more interested in girls than his car, I suggest he sells the Sprite and buys a, say, 1955 Farina-type Studebaker and, believe me, as one who knows, you cannot go wrong. Take my tip, six out of 10 girls prefer American cars to sports. I admit I don’t. I’m just one of the four. If, on the other hand, he decides to keep his Sprite, I think he should get a couple of friends with the same Springtime thoughts and get a furnished flat downtown.
