Eton and Harrow on Same Course as County Schools

Eton, Haileybury, Harrow, Oundle, St. Paul’s, Stonyhurst and Uppingham are among the schools to which seventeen Dunlop Scholarships have been awarded for the second course of instruction beginning on April 15th. The scholarships give a free commercial training under expert supervision to young men between the ages Of 17½ and 19, with maintenance grants at the rate of £52 a year.

The seventeen scholarships have been awarded to G. Cadman, Emanuel and Battersea Polytechnic; F. Dorrien Smith, Eton; F. Ellis, Gravesend County School; D. Dowden, Sutton Valence and Lewes County School; P. Golding, Bedford; D. Gordon, Gravesend County School; D. G. Fear Hill, Stonyhurst; M. Hipkins, King Edward VII School, Sheffield; D. Vaughan Jones, Cathays and University of Wales; D. T. P. King, Felsted; J. Lennard, Uppingham; P. D. O. Liddell, Harrow and North Gloucestershire Technical School; J May, Chatham House County School; R. B. Meer, St. Paul’s and Berlin University; R. H. Ridler, Haileybury; G. Stewart, Felsted; and G. Heaven, Oundle.

Blundell ‘s, Christ’s Hospital, City of London, Shrewsbury and Stowe are among the winners of the first eighteen scholarships for which the course of instruction has now begun.
