The race was run over four laps of the Circuit of Mellaba, measuring 26 kilometres each, the total distance of the race thus being 104 kilometres or about 75 miles. Maserati, this car having a straight-eight engine of twolitres capacity. Biondetti was third on a 1500 c.c. 8-cylinder Talbot, which ran in the Grand Prix races in 1926 and 1927 and which now forms part of the Materassi racing stable.
The winner averaged 91.46 m.p.h. which is something of a record for a road race.
