The last race was the 8th on the programme, being the 32nd 85 m.p.h. Long Handicap. The Limit car, a Salmson, driven by Mr. J. Dunfee, got well away and was closely followed by Capt. Waite (Austin n).

It was never caught and finished 120 yards ahead *A the Austin at a speed of 76.34. Purd3-‘s Alvis looked good enough to catch them both, but with a handicap reduced to 45 secs. from i min. II secs. he left it too long before spurting. Another lap, however, would have given the Alvis a second win.
