A 100-mile race for pre-1958 GP cars is being mooted as the highlight of the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association’s Silver Jubilee.

Subject to positive responses from the relevant car owners, this event would headline a three-day ‘celebration’ meeting at Donington Park.

Held on the May Bank Holiday weekend (May 1-3), this would also feature a packed programme of international historic categories, including two grids of Formula One cars and a competitive field of drum-braked sportscars.

Other notable races will include TGP, Group 4, the just-launched Pre-War Sports Cars series and the Gentlemen Drivers’ Trophy.

A gala dinner will be held on one of the evenings.
