Emery emerging
Mark Linstone is obviously a man who likes a challenge. Currently, he is competing the restoration of the unique 1949 Duesenberg-powered Emeryson F1 car. In fact, Linstone and his father Cyril are Emeryson experts, and it was Cyril who worked with marque founder Paul Emery in the 1950s.
This particular car is scheduled to race once more and Linstone would love to run it at Goodwood in September. Meantime, the sublime engineering skills at Crosthwaite & Gardiner are being employed to fashion a new example of the 4.5-litre Duesenberg engine that the car used in period
