Monza blow to historics

Europe’s historic racing calendar has been thrown into confusion by the cancellation of the Coppa Intereuropa meeting at Monza. Scheduled for the first weekend of June, the meeting has been dropped by the organisers as reconstruction work on the pits complex will not be finished in time.

The event would have featured races from the Euro F2 Trophy, the Thoroughbred Grand Prix Car Championship, the European Sports Prototype Trophy and all three FIA historic championships.

The provisional TGP calendar lost another Italian date with the news that the series will not race at Imola in October. Negotiations with Mugello and Donington Park are underway for replacement dates.
