Geoffrey Crossley
We regret to report the death of Geoffrey Crossley, a participant in the first-ever round of the world championship at Silverstone in 1950.
Crossley, who was 80 years old, raced before and after World War II, and competed in two Grands Prix After retiring from the 1950 British GP with transmission failure, he went on to finish ninth in the Belgian GP in his Alta. He also finished sixth in that year’s Jersey Road Race.
