Alta Appeal

Sir,

I’d like to put in a plea for an article on Altas. If nothing is put on paper their history could be lost. Various models of Alta did quite well in events in the ’30s and ’40s and Tony Brooks had that great win at Syracase driving an Alta-powered B series Connaught. Also HWM enjoyed success with Alta machines. Does the company still exist and did they make anything other than cars?
