New Sports Race Series

Fans of the “Big Banger” sport scars of the sixties should have an extra opportunity to see them in action with a new series planned for 1996. Six meetings, two in the UK, will bring together pre-71 sports-prototypes such as Lola T70, Porsche 917, Chevron B8 and the smaller Porsches, with GT classes (Daytona. 911RSR) and an open class for anyone who wants to ring out an Alfa T33 or other spyder.

Beginning with the Spa Historic weekend May 11/12) , the series shifts back here for the Donington Historic meet (1/2 June) and Thruxton’s Intermarque do (30 June), then to France (6/7 July) before the Nurburgring Oldtimer GP (9-11 August). finishing in Brno on 28/29 September.
