Chauche revenge at Chamonix

The Chamonix 24-Hour Ice Race (actually composed of 15 separate races) on February 4-5 gave last year’s runner-up Francois Chauche his taste of victory after he and team-mate Jean-Pierre Malchet won most of the heats in their BMW 325iX. F1 drivers Jacques Laffite and Jean-Pierre jabouille joined rally stars such as Bernard Beguin and Bernard Darniche for the unique event in its spectacular setting at the foot of Mont Blanc.
