Because they are flattered that so many present-day radio-controlled model racing cars used in competitions are based on full-size Porsche cars, Porsche Cars (GB) Limited are sponsoring a series of model-car races to be organised by the British Radio Car Association. The cars are powered by 3 1/2 c.c. engines and do up to 80 m.p.h. Many of them are based on the Porsche 936 and Porsche Can-Am cars. The race meetings will be held at Lilford Park near Peterborough on May 4th, at Tibshelf in Derbyshire on June 21st, at Lampoon Park, Tyne-and-Wear on July 26th, and at Turbary Park, Bournemouth, on September 20th, using tarmac circuits of up to half-a-mile in length. The four rounds of the Porsche Sports GT Championship are also sponsored by four Porsche dealers.

There has been a dearth of car miniatures arriving for review recently but Richard Kohnstam Ltd. are importing the Tamiya kits, which include many F1 cars, the most recent being Williams and Ferrari cars. — W.B.
