Information wanted

Sir,

I am searching for any information I can find on the Rockne car. All I have discovered so far is that the Rockne Motor Company existed between 1931 and 1933 in Detroit, USA and that the name was taken from Canute Rockne a well known American football coach of that era. I have heard that only about 8 cars were produced and that only one or two exist today, although whether this is true I am not sure.

I am having very little luck in finding any references to the car apart from one short line in “The Worlds Automobiles” by G. R. Doyle. Having been a regular MOTOR SPORT reader for many years and knowing the interest you take in old car matters I am hoping that the MOTOR SPORT archives or perhaps one of your motoring historians can throw some light on the subject. I shall be most grateful to hear from you and to gain any possible knowledge on the make.
