Fiat move to new headquarters

Fiat (England). Limited moved to new headquarters on the Great West Road, Brentford last November. For over 30 years Fiat had been located in Wembley. Two years ago the Company purchased the site of the former Sperry plant in Brentford for approximately £1 million. A new Head Office and Service Centre has been built occupying a total area of 280,000 sq. ft., of which some 75,000 sq. ft. is workshop space. Total cost of building work and installation of equipment for the new centre exceeded £750,000. The centre brings service of the most up-to-date type to Fiat users in the London area and complements the £450,000 Centre opened in Warrington in 1967 and the Dover works where Fiat central stores, new vehicle preparation and distribution departments have been concentrated.
