The Eight Clubs' Association

WE learn from the 750 Bulletin that better relationships are now expected between the 750 MC and the Eight Clubs’ Association, and that Mike Eyre is now President of both these bodies. The former, which has coined the slogan “The Leading Low Cost Motor Club”, has very creditably resolved its recent financial difficulties and the latter organisation has a total membership of over 100,000. This year’s Eight Clubs’ Silverstone Meeting is on May 16th and is the 21st of the series, at which genuine Clubmen can race or take part in sprints or high-speed trials, no matter how comparatively inexperienced they are. No 750 Formula race will be held at this meeting this year, but there will be a Formula 1200 race. If you enjoy amateur racing in the truest sense of the term you may care to note the date.
