Wishing to fit a pair of spotlamps to my Triumph TR, I investigated the legal requirements as to where they should be positioned. It appears that they must be mounted between 2 ft. and 3 ft. 6 in. above ground level, i.e. headlamp height. Looking around, I find that most cars have them mounted just above the from bumper, below regulation height.
I should like to ask if any reader has experienced any trouble with the police about this, and indeed, how strongly is this regulation enforced?
