The VIth Acropolis International Rally

First held in 1952, this year’s Acropolis Rally, which counts towards the European Rally Championship, takes place front April 3rd to 6th. Organised by the Automobile and Touring Club of Greece, previous winners have comprised Chevrolet, Jaguar, Opel, Mercedes-Benz 300SL and Ferrari 250 G.T. The 1958 rally, third to rank as an International fixture, will be held under the patronage of H.M. King Paul. lt starts simultaneously from Trieste and Athens and will cover a severe route of 3,000 km. in three days and nights. Competitors will have to take part in timed hill-climbs and a speed-regularity test at Tatoi aerodrome but will have a free day in Athens.
