ONE BIG TRIAL

In view of the public attitude toward Reliability Trials, to which your paper has wisely drawn attention on more than one occasion, you may be interested to hear that the Mid-Surrey Automobile Club has suggested to the City and Guilds Motor Club, the Sporting Owner Drivers’ Club and the Vintage Sports Car Club that the best interests Of the sport would be served by amalgamating several trials, annually run in the same area, into one big trial on one day.

These three clubs have most sportingly fallen in with the suggestions of the MidSurrey Club and cancelled their owu trials to combine with the Grand Cup Trial on May 17th.

The Mid-Surrey Club feel that this is an exam*, which might well be followed by other clubs with a vie* to relieving a Much overcrowded calendar. I am, Yours etc.,
