A SUPER SHOWROOM FOR SPORTS CARS IN THE MIDLANDS MANY ORIGINAL FEATURES OF PATRICK MOTORS’ NEW PREMISES IN BROAD, STREET, BIRMINGHAM.

irof the best known firms dealing in sports cars in the Midlands is Patrick Motors, whose headquarters are at Bournbrook, Birmingham. In addition, they have another show

room in J ohn Bri ght Street , which is reserved for Austin cars, and recently they have opened yet a third showroom in Broad Street. Their latest premises are full of interest, for they incorporate a number of highly original features. For example, the front window is of non-refiecting glass, a type which is being thus made use of for the first time in the provinces, and for the third time in r,ngland. Anyone who has tried to inspect cars from the pavement in front of a normal showroomfront will appreciate what a great advance this new glass represents. The lighting system is most original. There are nine large double high-power wall lights each side of the showroom, and in the roof there are

many window lights which are illuminated at night. In the front of the showroom there are several dozen high powered spot-lights and flood-lights. The showroom is the largest in the

Midlands, there being room for 30 cars to be displayed with ease. Patrick Motors have always specialised in sports cars, and an interesting range is always on view.

When we visited the new showroom last month i we noticed a new 16/80 h.p. Lagonda four-seater sports, various types of Patrick special coachwork on Wolseley, Standard and Rover chassis, and sports

models of Standard, Hillman, Sunbeam, Lanchester, Wolseley, Alvis, AstonMartin, M.G. and Riley. Tuning and service for sports car

owners is carefully catered for at Patrick Motors, for Mr. J. A. M. Patrick himself is well known in trials work as a skilful exponent of sports motoring, and all work of this nature has his personal attention.
