MOTORCYCLE EVENTS IN THE COMING SEASON.

RUMOUR has been busy recently concerning next Season’s motorcycle races and, the makes which will compete in them. Some manufacturers support races, others do not. 1) Amongst the former may be numbered the New Imperial Company, who have believed in the racing policy for the past eight years. . In 1932 this marque will

once again appear in the Isle of Man and the more important Continental events.

Although it has not yet been definitely decidtd, it is probable that the new springframe machines will be used, and the team of riders—not so far quite settled—will almost certainly contain E. A. Mellors, who had such a good season in 1931.

Mellors competed, in some 17 races, and. amongst his best positions were third place in the Lightweight T.T., and first in the 250 class of the Belgian Grand Prix, with a record, lap of 70 m.p.h., second, in the 250 German Grand Prix and second, in the Swiss Grand Prix.

“New Imps” will also be seen in all the prominent trials.
