BRITISH SUCCESSES ABROAD.

In the Hungarian Winter Reliability Trial, Mr. F. Lukavecz riding a 1.72 h.p. Francis-Barnett won his category and was awarded a gold medal. What is even more remarkable is that in the speed hill-climb which was included in the trial, the little British maehine made second fastest time of the day, out of 54 competitors. A cable has just been received from Australia to the

effect that Frank Arthur, who has thrilled hundreds and thousands of spectators at British dirt tracks, has once more been breaking records in Australia. Riding a Rudge-Whitworth at the Speedway Royale, Adelaide, he broke the three lap world’s record with a time of 61 seconds. Arthur Atkinson, on a similar machine, won the West Australian Championship in record time.
