Herbert: thumbs up for new Snetterton

Snetterton has undergone a massive revamp. Jonathan Palmer told Motor Sport last month that the £3.5 million redevelopment, including a new infield loop, resurfaced track and bigger paddock, had been a bold move.

Since then various people have not only driven on the extended track but experienced it as a spectator. A bold move it may have been, but initial feedback has been excellent.

Three-time Grand Prix winner Johnny Herbert has lapped the new ‘300’ layout and was positive about the changes: “MSV have done a very good job. It’s given the circuit more character. There are some tricky corners, but they’re enjoyable at the same time. There are overtaking opportunities there for sure.”
