The Swiss publisher Chronosports continues its hardback series on Formula One legends with a straightforward but pleasing account of four-time world champion Alain Prost’s career.

The 160 picture-laden pages cover every aspect of ‘The Professor’s’ life in motorsport, right up to the collapse of his own Prost F1 team in 2002. At the moment the book is only printed in French, but don’t worry if this is beyond your linguistic skills, an English version will be published this autumn. There are other useful elements, too; a full statistical record of all Prost’s grands prix, Ménard’s fine illustrations of the Frenchman’s F1 cars, and good photographs from our own LAT and various French sources. Of particular interest are the black-andwhite snaps of Prost’s early career in karting and Formula Renault. TS
