Classics set to return to Crystal Palace on May 25

South London’s Crystal Palace circuit will once more reverberate to the sound of tuned engines on Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday, May 25/26.

Some 25 years after the last motor race – won by Gerry Marshall in the Hexagon Lister-Jaguar –

Sevenoaks & District MC has organised a timed sprint run on a 660m course which starts on the pre-1953 Inner Loop and uses part of the old Terrace Straight, North Tower Crescent and The Glade. Organisers are keen to attract classic cars and motorcycles which raced at ‘the Palace’, either to compete or for display. A cavalcade will be run for non-competitors.
