The Morgan Sports Car Club’s “MOO 87” meeting is being held at Beamish Open Air Museum in Durham over the weekend of June 26-28. The organiser is the MSCC Durham and North-East centre, whose secretary is Tony Oliver, East Moor, Trimdon Station, Co Durham TS29 6DU.

To cope with the expected demand for places and relieve worsening speed differential problems, the 750 Motor Club is planning to hold two Relay races this year. Road-going sports cars, saloons and pre-war cars may compete in the 6-Hour Relay at Snetterton on Saturday 17 October, while a 4-Hour event at Silverstone two weeks later will cater for sports racing cars and modified saloons. Jack Turner, designer and manufacturer of Turner sports and racing cars, will attend the second annual rally for devotees of the marque on Sunday July 5 at the Gwernvale Manor Hotel in Crickhowell, Powys. Pre-1956 MGs will converge at both Syon Park in London and Studley in Warwickshire on June 7 for the MG Octagon Car Club’s third annual Wings Run to Abingdon. The organiser is Harry Crutchley (0785 51014),

Intemational Healey Weekend this year is August 1-2, and the Austin Healey Club of Great Britain has chosen a venue (Charlcote Park, near Stratford) which is close to the Warwickshire home of the marque. Organised by the Retromobile Club d’Aix-en-Provence, the fifth Alpes-Retro international rally for pre-1945 cars will take place from July 17-21.
