VSCC racing in June
The next set of points towards the 1983 Motor Sport Brooklands Memorial Trophy Contest, in which Nick Mason (ERA and Bugatti) leads at present, will be awarded at the Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies Meeting at Oulton Park circuit on June 11th. Racing, which will commence at about 1 p.m., includes the two Seaman scratch races over 16 laps each, one for vintage, the other for pre-war racing cars, with handicap classes, these being backed up by a 16-lap scratch contest for Historic racing cars. In addition, there will be some shorter scratch and handicap races and the now-traditional eight-lap scratch race for 500 c.c. racing cars. Altogether, a good day’s sport for connoisseurs of this class of motor racing.
Admission costs £3.50 per adult, £1.50 per child, with £2 extra for Paddock admission but car-parking is free. — W.B.
