Welsh rally

ON TOP of the World. Björn Waldegård (above) acclimatised himself rapidly to Audi Ouattro driving to win this year’s Welsh International Rally, on his first attempt in both car and event. His faultless run pushed new Open Championship leader, Henn Toivonen (bottom left), down to second place in his Opel. Third placed Stig Blornqvist (right) brought Talbot back to British rallying, whilst (bottom right) Phil Collins’s past promise materialised with an excellent fourth position.
