“Ferrari—The Early Berlinettas & Competition Coupes” by Dean Batchelor. 96 pp. 8 1/4 in. x II in. (PSL, Barr Hill Cambridge, £4.25).

Here is another specialised one-make softcover publication, which Ferrari fanatics will find hard to resist. It is, I am told, the first of four such books about specific Ferrari models and body styles. This one features the 166/195/212 MM by Carrozzeria Touring, the 340 Mexico Viznale, the 375 Mille Miglia by Pininfarina, the 250 GT with Zagato bodywork, and the Scaglietti l.w.b. 250 GT, etc. Each car gets a large black-and-white photograph, scale drawings and a specification table. There is also a brief history of each model by the keen author, who owns a Ferrari 340 Mexico. In all there are 128 pictures. Fascinating, but very expensive.—W.B.
