The Donington Collection

Promoted by your coverage of the Donington Collection, I diverted off the M1 to see the results of Mr. Wheatcroft’s efforts and was extremely impressed.

After hesitating for a milli-second over the £1 required for admission, I was astonished (and pleased) to find myself the only visitor on a snowy April afternoon, and a leisurely hour with half a million pounds worth of racing machinery was a remarkable experience. Perhaps a glimpse of some restoration work being carried out may have completed my enjoyment but that may be asking too much. As Denis Jenkinson is currently asking—”when did you lose interest in GP racing?” may I suggest a visit to Donington as a reviver?
