Among new Lesney “MATCHBOX” releases is a 9 1/2 in.-long K-5 Muir-Hill tractor and trailer, to a scale of 50 to 1, with tipper body and reversible shovel, which sells for 73p, and a “Models of Yesteryear” Mercedes-Benz 38/250 SS two-door Coupé, Y-16 in the series, to a 45-to-1 scale, which makes it 4 1/3 in. long. It is an excellent model, apart from a surely non-original mounting of its headlamps on its radiator sides(?), and has louvred bonnet, outside exhaust pipes, wire wheels, engraved dashboard, simulated sump and gearbox, and detachable top. The price is 49p. — W. B.
