Was there ever such an unholy combination as the Lotus Spares Department and British Railways?

As a young, expanding company, Lotus are chaotic; whatever will they be like in middle age? By the way, in case the above remarks be considered completely destructive, I hasten to add that I consider the Elan to be a great credit to the company and an unfailing source of pleasure to its owner.
