C. H Peacock, 20a, Hartington Road, Chiswick, W.4, would like all Gwynne Eight and Ten owners to write to him with a view to forming a Gwynne Register. We hope they elect Mr. Chinnery as President.

 

The Sunbeam Register’s Third Birthplace Rally to Wolverhampton takes on a Coronation aspect, being scheduled for June 20th/21st. It will have the approval of the Mayor and Town Council and of the Chief Constable and consists of a rally, driving tests or similar amusements, a Concours d’Elegance to be judged by well-known ex-Sunbeam employees and personalities, the whole terminating with a parade through the town where these famous cars were built. Roesch Talbots will support their S.T.D.. brothers and probably have a Concours of their own. Entries close on June 13th.

 

The V.C.C. Coronation Rally has an entry of 220 pre-1917 cars. The drive to Windsor starts from Hyde Park at 8.30 a.m. on June 7th and concludes with a cavalcade through Windsor to the Home Park, where the cars will be on display all the afternoon. Film-stars Dinah Sheridan, Kay Kendall, Kenneth More aud John Gregson of the film “Genevieve” will travel on certain of the competing cars, one of which will be Darracq No. 69, the car which is the actual “Genevieve” in the film.

 

The Eight Clubs Silverstone meeting of June 6th commences at 11 a.m. and has attracted a splendid entry. The concluding race will be the second of this season’s MOTOR SPORT handicaps.
