wheels are shod with 4.50-19 Pirelli “Heavy Duty” tyres at the front and 5.00-19 ditto at the back.

Wisely, Treen would make no claims for his cars, and, although two very smart examples were encountered outside his works, he requested us to forgo a test-run until they were absolutely au point. Inside, some half-dozen further cars were nearing completion.

Although no claims were made, there is every reason to expect a good performance from them, especially as both Treen and his wife have done some racing and much testing with their original Riley on which these Replicas are based. In view of the considerable following which the Riley Nine still enjoys this enterprising attempt to offer a real enthusiasts’ car assembled from Riley components deserves to meet with success. The price of the Treen Replica Riley is £750 ; one car has already been supplied to a private owner, Michael Currie, while another was about to be delivered.–W. B.
