THE LAND’S END.

Some errors crept into our account of the Land’s End Trial. First we wrongly stated that J. G. Pige-Leschellas failed on Grabhurst and Station hills. Of course, this experienced trials driver had no difficulty with any of the hills, and his 2 litre A.C. sports model gained a premier award. Then we accused M. L. Curtis of failing to round the bend on Lymnouth. Again, an error. Finally, we wrote that J. Harrison stopped on Gooseliam. In actual fact his V8 Ford did come to a standstill, but only because he was baulked by another car. Mr. Harrison writes ” Actually I think I had one of the hardest jobs in the whole trial because I had

to stop on the bend and was given the alternative of restarting from rest at that point or backing down to the base of hill. I had no difficulty in restarting and climbed to the summit. . • . As you will see from the results list I gained a Premier Award.”
