LI CARS ON I.O.M. T.T. COURSE.

RACING cars will figure for the first time in ten years on the Isle of Man curcuit, the birthplace of British motor racing, during the motorcycle T.T. races on 6th, 8th and 10th of this month. This is the result of a suggestion by Mr. Cecil Kimber, Managing Director of the M.G. Car Company Ltd., that the course is suitable for light car T.T. races and that

demonstration runs should be given during the motorcycle T.T. races.

Two racing M.G. Midgets will be the official cars and they will cover the 38 miles circuit; each morning.

They will be driven by Mr. Norman Black, winner of last year’s R.A.C. T.T. Ulster race and Mr. S. A. Crabtree.

BRITISH .EMPIRE ‘ TROPHY DECISION.

AS we go we press to learn that the appeal Of Mr. John R. Cobb against the decision of the stewards of the British Empire Trophy meeting has been allowed by the Royal Automobile Club.

Mr. Cobb is, therefore, the winner of the first British Empire Trophy Rate, driving Mr. K. Thoinpson’s 10-litre Delage.

HENLYS AT, HESTON.

NkNT Saturday, the 4th June, a big gymkhana and rally will be held at Heston Airport. The event has been organised by Henlys Ltd., and in addition to a concours d’elegance (for Alvis, Rover, Riley, Swallow, Standard, Austin and other makes of cars) there will be sundry races and competitions. Aviation will figure conspicuously in the programme of events and there will be demonstrations of the Autogiro, Mr. John Trailum will do his usual parachute drops and there will be a race for private owners of aircraft. The afternoon’s progranune will be further enhanced by a display of aerobatics by pilots on various types of machines.

The function opens at 2 p.m. sharp.
