SHELSLEY WA SH. CLASSES AND AWARDS FOR NEXT MONTH’S EVENT.

SUPPLEMENTARY Regulations have now been issued by the Midland Automobile Club in connection with the 26th annual hill-climb which is to take place at Shelsley Walsh on 11th July next. In all, there will be seven classes— (1) up to 850 c.c., (2) 851 to 1,100 c.c., (3) 1,101 to 1,500 c.c., (4) 1,501 to 2,000 c.c., (5) 2,001 to 3,000 c.c. (6) 3,001 to 4,500 c.c., and (7) 4,501 c.c. and over. A cup will be awarded in each sub-division for the fastest time in each of these classes. In addition the following eight special cups and prizes will be awarded :— The ” Shelsley International Championship Cup” and 2105 (for the fastest time of the day made by any type of car) ; The “M.A.C. British Championship Cup” and E25 (fol the fastest time made by a British sports car) ; The M.A.C. ” T.T. ” Cup (for the fastest time made by a car and driver who has driven or is entered for any of the events ill the 1931 International Calendar ; The M.A.C. Open Cup (for the best aggregate time made on two runs by a sports or racing car) ; The C.P. Type Challenge Cup (for the best time made by a sports car up to 1,500 c.c.) ; The Garvagh Challenge Cup (for the best time made by a 4-seater sports car, either

open or saloon, over 1,500 c.c.) ; M.A.C. Ladies’ Cup (for the fastest time made by a lady driving any type of car) ; The ” Fray ” Challenge Cup (for the best aggregate time made by a team of three” nontrade” or trade cars.

Practicing on the hill will be allowed on Friday, July 10th, from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. ; entries for the event must reach the Secretary of the Meeting by 12 noon on Thursday, July 2nd. These should be addressed to :—Mr. Leslie Wilson, Midland Automobile Club, 415, Stratford Road, Birmingham.
