Historic F1 heads to Brands
In response to competitor demand, the FIA Historic Formula One Championship will race twice in Britain in the space of seven days this summer with races at the HSCC Historic Super Prix at Brands Hatch a week before the support race at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Initially, it seemed that the July 1 date at Brands would be dropped when the Grand Prix support race became available. But competitor demand and lobbying from the HSCC and MotorSport Vision prompted a re-think.
“There is stronger driver support than expected for the Brands event,” said HFO chairman Dan Collins.
