Engine woes delay Scarab
The long-awaited debut of the front-engined Scarab Grand Prix car, formerly on show in the Donington Collection, should finally happen at Dijon during the HGPCA races over the weekend of June 23/24.
Seasoned racer Julian Bronson had intended to race the car early in 2011, but on-going problems with engine supply have pushed that date back by a year.
“The engine is now a year late,” said a frustrated Bronson, who has had engines built in the US. To date, the car has managed just a single lap of qualifying at Goodwood before major engine problems developed.
