Double tin-top tributes planned for Mann

The racing life of Alan Mann will be remembered with period touring car races at Donington Park on July 14 and Silverstone on July 21/22. Both will be named in honour of the famous 1960s touring car team owner.

Masters Historic Racing will organise a celebration race for Pre-66 Touring Cars at Donington Park during the ELMS weekend. Meanwhile, two weeks later, the U2TC race at Silverstone Classic will also be run for the Alan Mann Trophy.

His son Henry plans to contest both the Donington and Silverstone races in his Lotus Cortina, which runs in the traditional red and gold colours of Alan Mann Racing.
