Jerez move for festival

The Estoril Historic Festival, scheduled for October 18-21, has been cancelled and replaced by a new event at Jerez on October 12-14.

The Historic Formula One teams have remained loyal to promoter Francisco Santos and will race at Jerez, the first Fl race there since the European GP in 1997. The entry will feature Fl cars that raced in the 1986 Spanish GP. It will also feature the penultimate round of the Spanish GT series.

Santos told Motor Sport that his popular historic programme has been moved to the Andalusian circuit to avoid a clash with the Algarve Classic scheduled for later in the month.
